Inniskillin is pairing Cabernet Franc Icewine with a chicken Mole “quesadilla” with habanero crème fraîche.

The Cuvée Grand Tasting has built reputation as an influential salute to excellence in Ontario winemaking and a destination for foodies seeking a unique culinary experience. Brock University’s Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute (CCOVI) is pleased to announce that the 2016 Cuvée Grand Tasting will take place Friday March 4 at the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls.

Organized by CCOVI, the Cuvée Grand Tasting is one of the largest celebrations of Ontario VQA wine, with proceeds helping fund student scholarships and research needs that are identified by the Ontario grape and wine industry.

The 2015 Grand Tasting featured 52 Ontario VQA winemakers who each poured their favourite wine as well as 13 culinary partners serving up signature dishes at live cooking stations to 700 guests. Following the tasting, a live band kicked off the Après Cuvée after party which featured Icewine and sparkling wine bars and local craft beer stations.

Guests have the opportunity to continue the celebration of Ontario wine all weekend with the Cuvée en Route passport program. Tour and taste your way along the wine route and enjoy special Cuvée tasting flights chosen by the winemaker at each participating winery.
